Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Post-secondary education required (e.g., Diploma in Medical Office Administration or other relevant post-secondary education). Advanced computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite, Connect Care, iPHIS, Netcare, Meditech, MS Teams and Zoom. Strong interpersonal skills required, exceptional customer service, team player, demonstrate initiative and flexibility. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. English language proficiency (written and oral) is required, as well as the ability to interact effectively with diverse clients. Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently with minimal direction and meet the demands of multiple priorities and interruptions. Ability to lift 0-10 lbs. frequently and 10-20 lbs. occasionally, able to move frequently between sitting and standing positions and to walk significant distances within the clinic frequently throughout the day. Minimum 2 years in a medical outpatient clinic an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience and cultural competency working with immigrants/refugees who have recently arrived in Alberta. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with non-English speaking clients and to effectively use Translation Services during patient encounters.
