Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Formal education from a recognized post-secondary institution required. Successful completion of a Medical Secretarial Certificate including medical terminology course required. Minimum of 2-3 years direct experience in an administrative support role in a mental health setting required. Must have intermediate computer technology skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. A minimum typing speed of 50 wpm and a minimum data entry speed of 80 keystrokes per minute is essential. Knowledge of computer technology and applications including website administration, office or business applications and databases (VAX, Access, Oracle, ePeople, ARHMIS, eClinician, Connect Care or other) is essential. Transcription experience and knowledge of transcription software such as EditScript is required. Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and public relations skills are essential. The ability to work independently, prioritize workload and communicate in a cooperative, respectful manner in a team atmosphere is essential.
