Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Medical terminology required for this position (test will be administered at interview). Keyboarding of 40 wpm corrected for errors (test will be administered). Experience with multi-line switchboard. Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to maintain poise under pressure and ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment. Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive manner. Must have a proven record of maintaining privacy and confidentiality with sensitive information and situations. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively using the English language.
Preferred Qualifications:Preferred medical office assistant program and/or unit clerk certificate. Multi-line Switchboard and Health information management experience.
