Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Protective Services Training and Development Unit Manager, the Administrative Support III will provide ongoing support to the mandated CPOI bridge training. You will be responsible for maintaining the Protective Services equipment inventory, monitoring and responding to email requests for equipment and ensuring that it is accurately distributed to sites and personnel throughout province. You will build Peace Officer kits for new recruits, and break down retired Peace Officer equipment for appropriate disposal. As an Administrative Support III, you act as the initial point of contact for the Training and Development Unit and are expected to communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and vendors. Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: keeping accurate records of all equipment and fleet acquired by the Training and Development Unit, records of courses, student performance and any other documentation as required. The Administrative Support III will maintain an internal database of Peace Officer training records and submit required documentation to respective governing bodies.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to frequently lift and stock boxes above shoulder height. Ability to walk/stand for long periods. Strong Microsoft office skills. Proficiency with programs such as Access, Iprocurement (oracle), etc. Strong organization skills and ability to work in a fast past environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

A firm knowledge and understanding of the Peace Officer Program, Bridge Training and Other Peace Officer requirements. Knowledge of law enforcement related terminology. Be able to sort and file confidential Peace Officer files related to “Use of Force” and Investigations.
