Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary education required. Computer navigation skills and basic to intermediate level knowledge of Windows Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Accurate and proficient keyboard skills (minimum 45 WPM). Extended periods of sitting are required. Detail-oriented and ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written. Ability to deal effectively with people in potentially confrontational circumstances. Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively with clients of varying ages, socioeconomic statuses and ethnic backgrounds. Ability to communicate effectively with clients with varying levels of English language fluency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Unit Clerk or MOA certificate an asset. Experience equivalents will be considered. Minimum 1 yr related experience (within the last 3 yrs) in a computerized system doing appointment booking, scheduling and client registration. Minimum 1 yr related experience (within the last 3 yrs) working in a contact centre. Knowledge and ability to use the MEDITECH clinical information system an asset. Previous Public Health administrative experience supporting Well Child/ School Program an asset.
