Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Office Assistant Courses, Unit Clerk and or Health Information Management related courses required. Completion of a recognized medical terminology course required. English language skills in reading, writing and oral communication required. Working knowledge of medical terminology within the last five years required. Previous hospital or medical office experience within the last five years required. Accurate data entry and keyboarding skills required. Knowledge and experience with Windows-based environment with basic computer skills required. Experience with personal computer and various types of office equipment required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with terminal digit filing system preferred. Customer Service preferred. Ability to work well within a team environment. Ability to work well with many interruptions. Ability to multitask.
