Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in Medical Office Administration, Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk, or equivalent. Minimum one year experience in a data entry or administrative position. Proven ability and desire to consistently demonstrate and model the AHS Values to promote a safe, productive and healthy work environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as an effective member of a team. Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide variety of people in a health care environment with professionalism and respect. Ability to communicate effectively with clients of varied backgrounds and needs. Demonstrated ability to be attentive to detail. Well-developed organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to keep records and information confidential, understanding legal requirements with records and processes for securing information when transferring. Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language. Ability to proficiently use multiple computer systems – Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint; experience with Connect Care preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with young children and marginalized populations. Work experience in a dental and/or school environment, or child-centered situation, previous work in community health preferred.
