Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of Medical Terminology course (testing will be performed). 2 years Health Information - Records Management experience. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with clients, nursing staff, and physicians. Ability to prioritize and organize work in a fast-paced environment while receiving minimal supervision. The excellent attendance record, reliability, and personal suitability must be demonstrated through employment references. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Superior customer service skills. Proven accuracy in spelling, keyboarding, and attention to detail. Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm (testing will be performed). Proven initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity of Alberta Health Services Programs. Working knowledge of patient/ client filing systems, particularly terminal digit systems.
