Your Opportunity:

As part of an inter-professional team, you will contribute to the delivery of community-based services to persons with a severe and persistent mental illness using psychosocial rehabilitation principles, promoting client respect, autonomy, health and improved quality of life. Duties include carrying out assigned tasks in a client focused recovery plan which includes support to participate in activities of daily living, recreational and social activities, educational and employment activities. The A&MH Recovery Workers work collaboratively with other health and service providers. Services are based out of Wapiti House and primarily provided in the community and in Wapiti House. The Outreach Worker reports to the Manager, Addiction & Mental Health, and works under the direction of the clinical supervisor of Assertive Outreach Services. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. You will work collaboratively with other health and service providers. In this position, you will work under the direction of a regulated health provider.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from a post-secondary program in a related field or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from a post-secondary program in a related field or equivalent. Clean driver's abstract.

Preferred Qualifications:

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, First Aid, CPR, Crisis Intervention, Connect Care training.
