Completion of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Additional Prescriptive Authority (APA) or the readiness to apply now. Successful candidates not having APA will be expected to obtain it within 6 months of commencing in this position. Recent direct patient care experience and demonstrated ability to work to full scope of practice including but not limited to, APA, laboratory ordering. Capable of making decisions and working independently. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good organizational and problem solving skills. Demonstrates self-directed learning and continuing education.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of a Canadian accredited pharmacy residency program or a post-graduate Clinical Pharmacy degree e.g., PharmD. Active membership with the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP). Pharmacy related experience in a hospital setting or in direct patient care providing comprehensive medication management services. Experience with managing anticoagulation therapies. Minimum 2 years Clinical Pharmacist experience within the last three years.
