The Rural Capacity Investment Fund (RCIF) is investing in our rural professionals and communities by offering new incentives for in demand professionals serving rural communities within Northern, Central, and Southern Alberta.
Eligible Provincial Health Authorities (PHAs) and Provincial Health Corporations (PHCs) include:
PHAs: Acute Care Alberta, Assisted Living Alberta, Primary Care Alberta, and Recovery Alberta
PHCs: Alberta Health Services, ALTA Paramedic Health, Cancer Care Alberta, Give Life Alberta, and Health Shared Services

Employees represented by UNA may be eligible for the following:
Recruitment Incentive: Up to $20,000 per year depending on agreement length
Relocation Expense Reimbursement: Up to $12,500

Recruitment Incentive (Permanent): Up to $60,000 based on FTE and Return for Service Agreement
Recruitment Incentive (Temporary): Up to $500 per pay period to a maximum of $13,000 over 12 months.
