Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology or a health related field with strong analytic capabilities, accomplished written and oral communication skills, and demonstrated ability to build teams. Equivalencies in education and experience will be considered. A minimum of six years working experience in population and public health and expertise in the acquisition of health and determinants related data, analysis of large health-related databases, and reporting the health status of the population. Progressive leadership experience in a similar environment including three years in a management role. In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Clear understanding of the use of population health status assessment information and its role in supporting population health approaches to health service planning and delivery. Broad based skills and knowledge of health status assessment methods and quantitative research methodologies. Advanced understanding/skills in data management, statistical analysis, and reporting tools including mapping (i.e. SAS, Tableau, and ArcGIS). In-depth understanding of relational databases and experience with accessing and using large and complex health-related data from Oracle or MS SQL servers.


Additional Qualifications:

Very strong understanding and working knowledge of public health information systems. Ability to develop and use innovative and modern information dissemination tools for effectively communicating health status assessment information to a wide range of public health information users. Proven ability to foster partnerships within an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity as well as with public health agencies, government, committees, and other partners to deliver customer focused solutions. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Ability to plan, organize, and manage short and long term plans and projects to deliver innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues related to health status reporting.
