Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Occupational Health & Safety, a degree/diploma/certification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline, and a CRSP designation; If CRSP is not present, a program must be in progress with a commitment to complete within 2 years must be provided. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to show a demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Ability and willingness to learn about client groups / functions supported and best practices applicable to Workplace Health & Safety. Ability to develop and facilitate presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change. Ability to successfully display facilitation and/or coordination, experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Significant experience in problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation. Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator both written and oral, with strong organizational skills, influencing skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult situations.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred. In addition coordinating research projects or teams, complex data analysis and/or interpretation, evaluation methodologies, and developing formal reports. Independence and ability to implement projects on their own. Health and safety auditing experience. Certification in NCSO and/or CHSC would be an asset. Experience within healthcare is preferred.
