Required Qualifications:

Active registration and practice permit with respective professional regulating body. BCLS-HCP certification. Minimum 5 years recent clinical experience in acute health care. Demonstrated evidence of leadership and supervisory skills. 1-3 years progressive leadership experience in an acute health care setting. The successful applicant will have a positive and enthusiastic attitude with a proven record of demonstrating skills in leadership, developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships and team building, as well as organizational, analytical judgement, change management and decision making skills and effective verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must have the ability to manage a heavy workload and work in a fast -paced, dynamic work environment. Must have the ability to function as an integral part of the team.


Additional Required Qualifications:

5-10 years recent clinical experience in acute health care. Proven professional development work in past 2 years.


Preferred Qualifications:

Formal leadership experience - minimum 1-2 years Unit Manager/Care Manager. Completed New Manager orientation through AHS. Potential areas for leadership include - Emergency, Endoscopy, Operating Room, Day Surgery, Medicine, Obstetrics. Preference given to candidates with progressive leadership in the areas of perioperative care + endoscopy. Involvement in quality improvement initiatives that align with AHS initiatives.
