Required Qualifications:

Completion of RN baccalaureate degree or diploma from a recognized and accredited program required or completion of SW/Allied Health baccalaureate degree from a recognized and accredited program required. Active registration and practice permit with relevant professional college or association required. Basic Life Support BCLS-HCP is required, expected to be maintained throughout employment.


Additional Required Qualifications:

1-2 years related management or leadership experience required. 4 years current relevant clinical experience in healthcare is required. Previous Mental Health experience; a combination of experience in inpatient, emergency and community mental health is preferred. Demonstrated analytical, organizational, planning, teaching, decision making and financial management skills required. Demonstrated previous experience with leadership or clinical supervision of health care professionals required. Demonstrated ability to function effectively in dynamic situations required. Demonstrated conflict resolution and change agent skills required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and complete work in a timely manner. Ability to adapt to a continuously changing and evolving work environment. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education essential. Experience in clinical supervision including broad knowledge of a variety of treatment modalities and of the mental health continuum of care.


Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred. Masters degree in a relevant health field preferred. Knowledge and understanding of the Addiction and Mental Health continuum of care. Knowledge of a variety of addiction and mental health treatment modalities and evidence-based psychosocial interventions, including group therapy. Knowledge of community resources for Addictions and Mental Health. Community Mental Health experience an asset. Emergency department experience preferred.
