Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Basic typing skills and 1 year experience working with computers including applications such as Microsoft Office and Excel. Well developed and demonstrated interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize work and effectively work with frequent interruptions, noise and nearby distractions. Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:Medical terminology. Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Unit Clerk position (acute care setting preferred, preference will be given to those with Emergency experience). Preference will be given to applicants with recent EDIS experience. Preference will be given to applicants available for all shift patterns (days, evenings and nights).
