Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Medical Terminology Course required. Proficient skills in both written and spoken English required. Demonstrated understanding of and experience in Patient and Family Centered Care. Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience in a Unit Clerk position on Labour and Delivery preferred. Recent experience in a Unit Clerk position on Postpartum preferred. Experience with electronic patient registration, Electronic entry of delivery records (Perilink), and scheduling systems (Community Wide Scheduling) preferred. Demonstrated intermediate skill level in data base management, spreadsheet, and work processing preferred.
