Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience within the last year working as a Unit Clerk in either a Day Surgery Unit or Surgical Short Stay Unit. Working experience with clinical software applications such as: OR Manager, SCM, Clinibase and Netcare.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to those who have are able to successfully demonstrate: Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, to remain calm while dealing with competing, time-sensitive priorities, to self-identify strengths and areas for development, accept change, show initiative around clerical quality improvement strategic planning., to communicate effectively and respectfully, particularly when engaged in difficult conversations.
