Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program. A one-year Unit Clerk certificate (with practicum component) from a recognized post-secondary institution as well as a recognized course in medical terminology is required. Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail is required as well as the ability to independently and appropriately prioritize in an atmosphere of competing demands and frequent interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications:At least two years of acute care Unit Clerk and/or previous experience within an intensive care setting would be preferred. Training and experience using ESP timekeeping and/or ePeople time entry is preferred.
