Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post Secondary certificate or diploma from a recognized Physiotherapy Assistant program or Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Minimum of 1 year experience working as a PTA or OTA in acute care is required. Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) required. Current certification in IYM patient handling is required. The incumbent must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a good understanding of scope of practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional, courteous manner are essential. Basic computer skills are required. Additional computer skills are an asset, established skill set with Microsoft office, Outlook, and E-critical Metavision is preferred. 1 year previous experience in e-clinician patient scheduling and in leading group exercise programs is preferred. 1 year of previous upper extremity splinting experience is preferred.
