Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Registered with the Therapy Assistant Association of Alberta. Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) from Heart and Stroke Foundation, current within the last 12 months. Minimum of two years relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting. Physically able to perform all duties. There is also an expectation to be a mobile worker. This role requires travel within the city of Calgary including caring for clients in their homes or in the community. Possession of a valid drivers’ license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work related purposes is a requirement. You will be responsible to operate a laptop computer and mobile phone, and for manual handling (lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing and pulling) as a regular part of the job. For example: lifting of approximately 30 pounds in and out of a vehicle on a regular basis and carrying this weight up and down stairs throughout the day is common within this job. Learning resources and training are provided to safely perform work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic computer skills. Recent experience in a community setting, Home Care experience preferred. Displays professionalism, strong ethics, and problem solving to work effectively with internal and external members of the interdisciplinary team for patient-centered care. Strong organization, leadership and time management skills. Ability to take direction from multiple sources, set priorities and organize work assignments.
