Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current BCLS-HCP certification is required. Ability to prioritize work. Ability to be an influential team member. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong commitment to customer service. Ability to deal courteously and effectively with clients. Ability to work effectively with internal and external partners to optimize services. Ability to enhance individual and team competency and service through reflective practice and continuous learning. Applies professionalism and ethics to the provision of client-centered care and participation in care teams. Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal/public relations skills are required, as are excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous work experience in a speech-language pathology service delivery setting. Experience working in small groups and individually with children. HealthChange Methodology™ training is an asset. Experience with Meditech, Connect Care and/or EMR is considered an asset.
