Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years in a dispatching role preferably in a healthcare environment, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Emergency Communications Diploma or two years post-secondary education in Security, Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice. Progressive leadership experience in a security environment, including 2 years of experience in a management role in security operations or dispatching. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization ideally managing within a unionized sector. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex or diverse issues. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective critical thinking. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals. Excellent analytical and decision making skills. Strong knowledge of statistical and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Have in-depth knowledge of Alberta provincial legislation and experience to ensure that all legislative requirements regarding community Peace Officers is strictly adhered to. Professional Designation of Certified Health Care Protection Administrator (CHPA) from the International Association of HealthCare Security and Safety is an asset. First Aid / CPR Level C.
