Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) or Master of Library Science (MLS) from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution. Two years of direct professional and supervisory experience in a health sciences or special library, and knowledge of evidence literacy. Proficiency in information technology and computer applications used in libraries. Ability to build and maintain relationships in a remote environment and communicate effectively using online tools.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Health Sciences or Life Sciences. Recommended memberships include: Canadian Health Libraries Association (CHLA), Northern Alberta Health Libraries Association (NAHLA), Southern Alberta Libraries Association (SAHLA) and the Medical Library Association (MLA). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, effectively managing time and setting priorities when faced with multiple tasks and deadlines. Demonstrates flexibility, initiative and high degree of organizational skill, accuracy and attention to detail. Experience in project management, effectively managing a project team. Ability to communicate effectively in a personal and service oriented manner. Ability to resolve conflict in a timely and professional manner. Ability to create and document work flows and processes.
