Required Qualifications:

CPA (Canadian Payroll Association) PCP or CPM certification required. 5 + years progressive payroll experience in large and complex organizations required. Demonstrated knowledge, proficiency and experience with Payroll Processing within large organizations, where multiple terms of employment and/or collective agreements are administered is required. Sound knowledge and expertise in HR Management Systems including reporting tools and PeopleSoft required. Able to work in a fast paced, growing and challenging environment. Proficient in MS Office suite, including Excel and Access or other databases.


Additional Required Qualifications:

A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, inspiring and building confidence in others. Confident and comfortable completing Performance Appraisals and having performance conversations. Able to manage and lead a team to deliver on quality, accuracy and sustainable targets aligned with organizational operational priorities. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization and managing within a unionized, government sector. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing long term quality services. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation and build solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:

1 – 3 years’ experience in a management role Preferred. Experience supervising and leading a team is preferred. Preferably healthcare goverment sector experience.
