Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grader 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Keyboarding of 40 wpm corrected for errors (a test will be administered). Experience with multi-line switchboard is required. Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to maintain poise under pressure and ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment. Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive manner. Must have a proven record of maintaining privacy and confidentiality with sensitive information and situations. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively using the English language.

Preferred Qualifications:

Medical office assistant or unit clerk program. Medical Terminology. Recent health information management experience.
