Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health or related Health discipline. Current registration with appropriate provincial regulatory college. A minimum of 5 years’ experience with Indigenous people/communities. A minimum of 3 years within the last 5 years in a leadership or management role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Experience/knowledge of Indigenous healing methods, culture and traditions. Knowledge and respect for the diversity of Indigenous populations and communities. Knowledge of Indigenous history, worldview, perspectives and beliefs/values. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Uses strategic thinking, taking into account long term goals and assessing options and implications. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physician resources within a complex environment. Strong organizational skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing long term quality services.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience in collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Leadership skills, including effective communication skills, demonstrative ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Clinical experience is required.
