Your Opportunity:
The Recognition Store Clerk I is an entry level position that performs a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for recognition supplies, etc. The incumbent at this level performs routine manual and/or routine clerical functions in receiving, handling, storing and delivering related stock. The Recognition Store Clerk I will process incoming orders and distribute supplies, complete product audits for quality assurance and communicates frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantity of supplies are available. In addition, the incumbent will track and report on inventory to ensure over stocking does not occur. Duties include: Receives and ships stock. Checks stock against packing slips or invoices determining if there are shortages, damages, missing goods, etc. Places stock in designated storage areas. Removes items from stock to fill orders from authorized requisitions. Delivers and/or may pick up stock or other items to departments or offices concerned. Assists in counting and recording inventory. May have contact with other departments regarding shipments. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275 Kgs. Must be capable of walking and or standing for long periods of time. Must regularly use hand and arms to reach, lift, and carry heavy items up to 25 kg.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have experience in a computerized environment using Excel, Word and outlook is required. The ability to follow oral and written instructions and make basic mathematical calculations is necessary. The capability to work within established routines is essential. Must be able to complete physical tasks including considerable amounts of standing and walking, bending, stooping, reaching for and carrying material, and heavy lifting, pushing and pulling. Ability to read, write and comprehend English fluently. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, customers and vendors. Attention to detail and ability to work with limited supervision. Reliable, cooperative and able to demonstrate effective service attitude. Maintain a positive attitude while adapting to changing priorities.
