Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Must possess strong assessment, communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated problem solving, planning and organizational skills, as well as counselling and group facilitation skills, especially with the target population. Ability to be self-directed and to effectively work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Must possess a sound understanding of the community and the determinants of health. Working knowledge of computer applications including word processing, email, internet access and data entry. Strong assessment, critical thinking and clinical decision making skills. Must possess strong assessment, communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated problem solving, planning and organization skills. Must demonstrate a strong patient/family-centered approach to care.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants with recent experience and familiarity with community agencies involved with the target population. Experience working with interdisciplinary teams. Experience working in eClinician/Meditech scheduling and/or EMR is considered an asset.
