Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with children and adolescents (and their families) in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Setting. Experience working with a Multi-Disciplinary Mental Health team. Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based SLP interventions and how they are specific for Mental Health needs and delivery. Knowledge of SLP best-practice diagnostic procedures along with knowledge of and experience with utilizing standardized SLP measures for children and adolescents who have complex presentations associated with cognitive, behavioral and developmental delays/disorders. Experience working with ADHD and associated disorders and concerns. Experience assessing and working with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Demonstrated Knowledge of community resources for children and adolescents with communication difficulties. Experience working with Child and Family Services, FSCD, schools systems and other community resources. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to complete work and reports in a timely manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively and to contribute positively to change and emerging services/ programs. Experience providing expert clinical SLP consultation to professionals. Intermediate computer skills and ability to use audiovisual/ telehealth equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Training in and understanding of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-V). Experience Supervising SLP Students. Brain Story certified preferred.
