Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Alberta Heart and Stroke: Basic Life Support- Healthcare Provider Level C. Competent and independent performance of Modified Barium Swallow studies. Experience with adult dysphagia. Experience working with adults in an outpatient clinic setting. Experience working in acute inpatient setting. Must be able to prioritize and manage caseload efficiently and proficiently. Demonstrated ability to work within a patient-centred, interdisciplinary team of health care professionals. Effective self-management skills and initiative. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBS ImP training. FEES training and competencies. LSVT LOUD certification. Experience with clinical software including: Sunrise Clinical Manger, Netcare, Nuance PS360 (dication), Millennium Scheduler. Experience working with Therapy Assistants. Experience working with adults who have neurological conditions. Experience providing communication therapy.
