Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Social Work. (equivalent education or experience may be considered). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of five years recent experience in an acute/tertiary pediatric setting. Formal training and certification in psychosocial interventions such as: Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Crisis Intervention, Solution Focused Therapy. Experience supporting families through adaptation to illness across an acute chronic treatment trajectory. Exceptional Interpersonal and communication skills. Computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience providing social work services to patients and families in Hematology, Oncology, Transplant, and Immunology, preferably in pediatric populations. Demonstrated experience with the intersection of child welfare and medical Social Work to address child maltreatment and neglect. Demonstrated ability to organize work and set priorities autonomously.
