Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). 2-3 years direct experience in psychosocial assessments, suicide risk assessments, and discharge planning with addiction and mental health populations. Experience working with diverse cultural groups and vulnerable populations. Working knowledge of relevant legislation that may include Mental Health Act, Health Information Act, and keep current with appropriate discipline related literature. Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to initiate work both independently and as a team member, and make sound professional decisions in a complex multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of computers and clinical documentation processes.
