Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Greater than 1 year experience in an inpatient adult acute care setting required. Demonstration of strong critical thinking and problem solving. Experience working successfully in a collaborative interdisciplinary team setting. Experience with capacity assessment processes, financial assessments and complex placement processes required. Must have proven communication skills to work cooperatively and effectively with the health care team members, patients and their families in a fast-paced environment. Strong professional judgment, initiative and effective time management are necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:Masters in social work. Rural experience, addictions and mental health experience, experience working with Aish, Alberta seniors benefit, CPP, and experience in advance care planning. Social work experience within a health care setting. Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking skills.
