Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current Heart & Stroke BLS-HCP. Experience in an acute care setting within the past 2 years. Fluent in oral and written English language communication. Demonstrated ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time and lift 22.5 kg, or assist in lifting up to 157.5 kg on a regular basis. Ability to meet physical demands associated with the position (i.e. pushing stretchers, carts, wheelchairs, bending and reaching). Must possess verbal, numerical and clerical abilities; visual and auditory acuity; motor coordination; eye-hand coordination. Self-motivated and able to prioritize and organize workload in a busy patient care environment. Reliable, cooperative and ability to demonstrate effective service attitude. Must be able to accept supervision and follow instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in an emergency setting within the past 2 years.
