Required Qualifications:

Minimum PhD - required with an epidemiologic, cancer prevention, population health, Health Services or Applied Research focus. A minimum of 5 years applied research experience as an independent investigator with a record of publications and grant acquisitions. A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a large health care organization. An academic appointment in a health related faculty.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Diplomacy, leadership, strategic thinking, organization, and the ability to build consensus, maintain objectives, and focus on achieving goals and supporting others in achieving goals while balancing competing priorities. Expertise in applied research grants and study conduct. Strong understanding of acute care sector and primary care and other points of integration across AHS. Deep knowledge and understanding across sectors in AHS to effectively implement innovative approaches. Advanced writing skills. Excellence in written and verbal communication with scientific and lay audiences. Solid understanding of both applied research and health care environments. Ability to foster collaboration and develop and sustain partnerships. Ability to manage professional staff and to coach, teach, inspire and build confidence in others. Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues.
