Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree plus completion of a project management designation. 7 to 10+ years of progressive project management experience in a large / complex IT environment. Deep knowledge of project management principles, PMO tools / methodologies, and project governance concepts. Extensive experience leading large sized project teams. Experience working in a complex matrixed organization. Healthcare knowledge and experience preferred. Expertise with MS Project, MS Office suite and Visio.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Business stakeholder management – works with various business and IT stakeholders to understand the business objectives and requirements. Planning and execution – defines the overall project plans including the WBS (scope), resources, budget, schedule, and executes against the approved plan. Financial management –manages within approved budget; monitors / tracks financials addressing variances as appropriate. Risk and issue management – anticipates risks, develops mitigation strategies, and facilitate resolution of issues to lessen negative impacts to cost, schedule and quality. Strategic Accountabilities: Takes strategic visions and directions from AHS executive leadership. Aligns business needs with IT solutions. Communicates / manages expectations and represents the organization’s interests to numerous internal and external. stakeholders at various levels. Relationship Management Accountabilities: Represents AHS interests to complex and sophisticated external stakeholders with a province- wide scope many of which have political sensitivities. Develops strategic relationships. Influences in regards to priorities, and solutions in support of AHS directions and priorities. Develops relationships with external vendors to partner with in designing significant solutions. Presents to Project Steering Committees and/or other senior management. Coaches, mentors and supervises project team members.
