Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a graduate degree in health care management, business administration or a related health care field. Progressive senior leadership experience in a healthcare environment, including a minimum of ten years’ experience in a senior management role. Experience in clinical operations or healthcare operations with a rehabilitation focus. Demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development (e.g., thorough knowledge of contemporary management principles, practices and methods; comprehensive understanding of healthcare including service delivery, operations, finance, quality measurement and improvement). Equivalencies of education and experience will be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Broad understanding of AHS and healthcare issues, including the role of academic medicine with researchers, practitioners and educators. Ability to foster a collaborative, integrated and inclusive environment and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, boards, committees and other partners. Direct management responsibility for large-scale initiatives involving significant dollar amounts and implications, a large staff and many diverse occupational and stakeholder groups. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, customer-focused orientation. Proven leadership, strategic competencies and team building skills. Demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities including ability to rapidly process and comprehend large amounts of detailed information. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources within a complex environment. Strong project management skills and ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations and tight deadlines. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills including ability to be articulate, concise, compelling and diplomatic. Proven change management, negotiation and mediation skills are essential.
