Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma in Information Technology, Information Sciences or related health discipline and/or equivalent experience. Minimum 7 years experience in information technology and/or health related discipline. Minimum 5 years experience with configuring and/or supporting clinical information system software and databases. Experience in design and development of large, complex applications or systems. Application to expert level knowledge of industry best practices with respect to technology and/or clinical disciplines in major accountability areas. Applied management skills within either project (PMI) and/or operational (ITIL) disciplines. Ability to design systems in a multi-stakeholder environment. Ability to effectively identify opportunities to apply technology to health services opportunities. Superior customer relationship skills.


Additional Required Qualifications:

There is flexibility as to the location of these positions within the Province of Alberta. At the time of appointment the successful candidate may discuss location options with the manager. Ability to travel is required, both internally in Alberta as well as Out-of-country travel required for training purposes. Must possess a valid passport and/or relevant documentation allowing entry into the USA as well as the ability to travel within Alberta.


Preferred Qualifications:

Full certification or proficiency in the EpicCare Ambulatory application. Completion of degree in Information Technology, Information Sciences or related health discipline and/or equivalent experience. Experience in a healthcare environment. Experience implementing, supporting and upgrading single vendor integrated platforms. ITIL exposure or education. Short listed candidates *may be required* to successfully complete an Aptitude test as part of this recruitment.
