Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent. 7 to 10 years of work-related experience in a large and complex IT environment. Must have hands on experience with Active Directory Domain Services / DNS / Domain controller builds / AD Sites & Services, Group Policy deployment and best practice design. Microsoft ADFS (Federation Services) hands-on experience. Basic Identity Management experience (Identity synchronization, LDAP Protocol fundamentals). Scripting skills of any sort (Visual Basic, Java Script, Perl, Groovy, and Ruby etc.). Must provide proof of licensure or registration with the approved Alberta regulatory college, prior to commencing duties with AHS where applicable: Regulated health professions under the Alberta Health Professions Act and Health Disciplines Act will be required to provide an original copy of a valid practice permit before commencing their duties with AHS; Other professions governed by government acts, college or regulatory body requirements may be required to provide additional documentation.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Must have an excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Must be proactive and able to work independently without supervision or guidance.


Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Federation Services, claims based authentication would be an asset. Experience with Identity Management Systems, Active Roles Server / Connectors preferred. Experience with Cloud technologies O365 / Azure AD / Directory Sync would be an asset. Skills using Power Shell would be an asset. Knowledge of Release and Change Management Processes, ITIL V3 Certification preferred.
