A minimum of a Master’s or research based degree in a health related field. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality improvement, knowledge management or research and or management in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred (healthcare experience an asset).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of the health system. Demonstrated working knowledge of quality improvement, research methods, systematic reviews and critical appraisal skills. Strong facilitation and mediation skills. Significant experience in problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation. Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services; ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult situations. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and/or certification in Change Management Solid knowledge and understanding of First Nations principles of OCAP – Ownership, Control, Access and Possession. Experience developing frameworks, reports, and plans (business, work, strategic, action, and implementation plans). Strong ability to plan, organize and manage short and long term projects and deliver results on multidisciplinary projects that involve multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate level course work in research methodology would be an advantage. Equivalent education and/or experience may be considered. Demonstrated skill in data analysis and synthesis. Experience managing physical and human resources and related financial / statistical information.
