Required Qualifications:

Master’s-level education with a strong quantitative component in a related field, e.g., community health sciences, health economics, biomedical statistics, epidemiology, quality assurance, or several years of equivalent experience. Minimum three years’ related experience in a healthcare environment. Minimum five years’ experience working with spreadsheets, databases and tools for querying, integrating, analyzing, interpreting, reporting and disseminating data. Minimum five years’ experience in the application of information technology, database design and information management. Must have Oracle SQL or other comparable database query and report writing experience. Knowledge on decoding XML files from proprietary SQL dumps would be an asset. Knowledge of cardiovascular disease and medicine would an asset. Proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills to produce reports and communicate with clients from across the organization and collaborators. Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong SAS programming skills including familiarity with macros. Strong SQL programming skills. Experience working with Canadian administrative health datasets (e.g. DAD, NACRS). Familiarity with creating Tableau reports and dashboards. Experience working in a dynamic research environment, working with physicians, trainees, other analytic team members, and other stakeholders.
