Required Qualifications:

Related diploma or degree. Occupational Health & Safety certification. Effective business writing skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook. 5 years of progressive experience in leading, planning, implementing and evaluating complex staff safety and engagement programs, projects or initiatives. Knowledge of project management constructs, tools and methodologies. Effective problem solving and analytical skills. Previous experience in utilizing complex data sets to estimate trends and future requirements. Effective leadership, coaching and teaching skills. Exceptional change management skills. Demonstrated ability and comfort with complex decision making. Ability to work independently in collaboration with the manager. Exceptional interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills. Effective partnership building and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field. Expertise in planning and executing workforce health and safety systems, frameworks, plans and initiatives. Clinical experience, preferably in a continuing care setting. In-depth understanding of continuing care program operations and workforce safety and engagement needs. In-depth understanding of legislative requirements and AHS strategic directions. Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
