Required Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Project Management, Business Administration or Applied Behavioral Sciences, Education, or other related field. Professional Project Management certification.


Additional Required Qualifications:

5 years experience in a related role. Knowledge and familiarity with project frameworks and methodology and the ability to tailor as appropriate. Proven ability to identify areas for change, implement change and gain acceptance by stakeholders. Comprehensive working knowledge of project development and talent retention. Ability to accomplish successful outcomes by using reasonable problem solving skills. Excellent analytical and decision making skills, coaching, and the ability to engage others. Proven ability to develop and execute a program or project with multiple interdependent partners and stakeholders. Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a respectful and collaborative manner. Broad knowledge of Indigenous cultures within Alberta. High degree of cultural competence as it relates to working with Indigenous people. High degree of critical thinking to execute and develop innovative and culturally appropriate approaches to attracting Indigenous people to AHS. Proven ability to foster partnerships, establish and maintain strong working relationships, including all levels of AHS leadership and external stakeholders including First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities, public agencies and government. Understand the politically sensitive nature of working with multiple culturally diverse individuals and groups. Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.


Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree. Change Management certification. Human Resources certification. Ability to speak or understand any of the Indigenous languages spoken within the territories of Treaty 6, Treaty 7, Treaty 8 or the Métis Settlements of Alberta. Experience in health care or other government agencies. Experience in a unionized environment. Experience with Visio.
