Required Qualifications:

A degree or diploma in communications, science/health communications, journalism, marketing or a related field (equivalencies for education or experience may be considered). Sound knowledge of communications theories, principles, practices and leading edge methodologies to develop and implement communications strategies, tools, products and services. Ability to work successfully with a broad range of stakeholders including representatives of funding agencies, university researchers, health service delivery organizations, media organizations, and the general public. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills. Strong diplomacy and relationship building skills. Ability to manage tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities. Attention to detail and sound decision-making skills. A focus on/experience in health science sector/research preferred. Experience in fund development is an asset. Project management experience is also an asset.
