Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

BCLS-HCP required. The consultant requires a specialized background with experience in AADL criteria and processes. A high level of skill in the critical review of clinical information such as arterial blood gases, overnight sleep studies, oximetry reports, detailed respiratory assessments, blood work, and ECG results is required. Advanced knowledge of respiratory therapies required (e.g. CPAP, BPAP, interpretation of sleep studies, home ventilation). Effective communicator with strong organizational skills and commitment to providing quality services. Strong client focus with the ability to understand consumer and provider perspectives. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in data analysis, auditing, development of policy and procedures, and concerns management is preferred. Experience in Level 1 Sleep Lab with the ability to stage sleep and recognize respiratory events is preferred. Experience with the Respiratory Outreach Program and home ventilators is preferred.
