Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) required. A minimum of 2 years of current, relevant RRT experience is required. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and organize many details in a timely, and flexible manner is required. Demonstrated ability to work in an inter-professional team is required. Demonstrated effective decision making and critical thinking skills are required. A demonstrated ability to work in a self–directed environment, independently, using sound professional judgment. Computer skills are required. Must be physically capable to perform all aspects of the position in accordance with Hazard Identification Assessment and Control Worksheet (HIAC). Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who have relevant RRT experience in a community setting. Current knowledge and skill related to palliative care RRT is preferred.
