Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification is required. Must be able to demonstrate competency in all phases of the job, adaptability to new procedures and information, be current in respiratory therapy advances and changes in department practices, policies and procedures. Demonstrated clarity in your communication, organization and consistency of ideas, both verbally and written, including clinical documentation, is required. Must be highly motivated, confident and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude whose work aligns with AHS Values. Able to act quickly and decisively using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You utilize strong judgment by analyzing facts, considering the impact, and arriving at a sound conclusion, seeking counsel when appropriate. Must be able to work independently and as a part of the team creating strong, effective interpersonal working relationships with peers and other caregivers. Must be a reliable worker who uses time effectively and is able to prioritize and complete assigned task.
