Baccalaureate degree in Social Work field or Nursing; or equivalent years of applicable experience required. A member in good standing with the Alberta College of Social Workers or College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta or other relevant licensing body. Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare industry. Demonstrated expertise in patient teaching/application of the Principles of Adult Learning.
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated skills in application of quality improvement, knowledge translation, patient and provider education, and curriculum development. A demonstrated clear pattern of personal and professional development required. Demonstrated leadership skills, especially leading multidisciplinary teams, including demonstrated ability coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, patient focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services; ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult situations. Strong facilitation skills. Significant experience in problem solving, concerns resolution, and negotiation. Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently with limited supervision, under pressure with adherence to firm deadlines. Extremely detail-oriented, thorough, accurate. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) particularly in Excel. Firm working and applied knowledge of the use of virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom) to support teaching and learning. Demonstrated expertise in patient education.
Preferred Qualifications:Masters in Social Work field or Nursing preferred. Relevant clinical experience associated with kidney transplant and/or nephrology preferred. Prior research experience preferred. Experience with grant research, processes and procedures.
