Completion of an accredited Psychiatric nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Flexibility, tolerance and ability to deal with challenging situations are required. Current IV certification and initiation is required. Other key competencies for this role include: Demonstrated excellent assessment, organizational and patient care skills. Ability to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify own learning needs and seek guidance in professional practice where knowledge deficits occur.
Preferred Qualifications:ECT Post-Anesthesia Recovery room education/experience is preferred. Experience/education in perioperative care/day surgery is preferred. Familiarity with care options in the community is preferred. Post Anesthetic Care Unit/Intensive Care Unit training/experience preferred.
